I've been working hard on a new course to help you with lesson planning! Here's a quick overview of what it looks like - and remember that I offer a 7-day money back guarantee with all of my courses :)
Introduction - this will tell you why we plan and what's in a plan. There's a downloadable lesson plan template here, too
Aims - in this part we cover main and subsidiary aims, stage and personal aims. At the end there's a downloadable sheet with examples of all of these.
The rest of the front page- this part covers lesson focus, assumptions and materials and has a full example to download.
Procedure - This is the meat of the lesson. What you are going to do, interaction and timing and anticipated problems with tasks. Again, the section finishes with a downloadable example and some downloadable ideas for what to do if you run out of material in class - always useful!
Language analysis - If you are teaching language you need to analyse the meaning form and pronunciation and anticipate the problems learners will have. This section explains this part of your plan and there are downloadable examples for vocabulary, grammar and functional language.
Lesson frameworks- These are like basic recipes for different kinds of lessons. They'll help you to plan and make sure you have a logical approach to your lessons.
Planning from a coursebook-I'll take you through an example of a lesson planned from a coursebook page and how you can choose to accept, reject, adapt and supplement your coursebook to make it work for you and your learners.
The End- Finally - here you can download your certificate of completion and relax!
