Hi - I've been a teacher and teacher educator for almost 30 years. I'm a CELTA trainer, an assessor and a JCA (Joint Chief Assessor) for Cambridge. I've worked in a range of countries including Taiwan, Australia, the Czech Republic, Kenya and Switzerland and I also taught ESOL learners in the UK for many years. I started working at Warwick University in 2014, running CELTA courses and teaching on the MA in TESOL and I'm also working towards a PhD in teacher education.
I started elt-training in 2011 in response to the fact that I saw a lot of potential CELTA candidates struggling with grammar knowledge and I wanted to do something to help - I hope that you feel I'm doing that (at least a bit!)
I'm married to a tall, dark, handsome Kenyan man (hence the unusual name) and I have three tall dark and handsome teenage boys. I consider myself very lucky!
